Colour may be lost by washing, wearing and daylight. Denim dye can transfer onto lighter colours including upholstery. Before wearing clothes made from denim they should be washed several times in cold water to rinse out any loose dye that may rub off. It is also advisable to turn denim garments inside out for washing and wash with other dark colours.
